Help maka & 808 ohana go on tour

Aloha nui ohana!

This summer my family and I will embark on a once in a lifetime journey. 8 of us will be traveling from Hawai'i to Washington,Oregon, and Canada for our "Connected By Canoes " PNW Tour from June 2nd to July 27. We are humbled to  share the truth of our nation Ko Hawai'i Pae Aina and to stand in solidarity with our cousins across the sea. Our tour name and theme is named after an original song that highlights the connection between the Hawaiian people and the tribes of the Coast Salish Sea. Please see the video below. We have been invited to do a music presentation and cultural exchange with the Squamish Nation for the Indegenious People's Day Event at Ambleside Park in West Vancouver. We will meet with other tribes on Vancouver island for cultural exchange and new bonds and allies made for the restoration of the Hawaiian Kingdom. As a Kanaka Maoli I am proud to be a voice for my people but even more so a voice for all people.

Through cultural exchange, ceremony, mele and mo'olelo shared we will help to bring healing and understanding. We know the change that needs to happen in our communities and world around us starts in our hearts and minds. Music is a powerful way to share important messages,it uplifts and inspires and shifts perspective.  Your support and donation helps us cover our huge travel costs and makes this mission possible. Mahalo for your support!
